Dosh, a free app that helps consumers save money when they shop, has been endorsed by a range of brands in different categories.

Launching publicly April 25, the app most recently has received the endorsement via a partnership of leading fashion retailer, Forever21.

Dosh, which was launched in private beta before the public launch, finds cash for consumers when they use their credit and debit cards on everyday purchases. The app aims to make coupon cutting, receipt scanning and rebate hunting a thing of the past. Founded by Austin entrepreneur Ryan Wuerch and former Stella & Dot CEO Mike Lohner, Dosh has been in development for the past year.

In an effort to spend advertising dollars more efficiently, Forever21 is now one of more than 100,000 brands and merchants on the Dosh merchant network which retailers are using to drive new users, build brand loyalty and become more savvy with advertising spend.

“I believe that Dosh has the opportunity to shift how merchants and large brands spend advertising dollars toward growing and retaining their customer base,” said Alex Ok, president of Forever 21, Inc., in a release. “Dosh enables Forever 21 to attract new customers and build even deeper relationships and understanding with our existing customers.  Like other leading brands, Forever 21 wants to see that every marketing dollar produces an ROI. Dosh is very effective in helping us do that.”

Other recent brands to join the Dosh merchant program include Applebees and IHOP. The new partners bring Dosh’s merchant network to more than 100,000 merchants and brands representing verticals across hospitality, retail, restaurants and professional sports.

Dosh has introduced the travel component of the app that allows consumers to get the best prices for hotel reservations, while also receiving cash back.

With Dosh, consumers download the app, securely connect their Visa, MasterCard and American Express debit and credit cards and get cash back “auto-magically” on purchases and travel when there is an offer available. For example, the Forever 21 partnership launches this month with customers getting 10% cash back through the Dosh app on purchases

The Dosh platform automatically incentivizes consumers with cash and allows merchants to directly engage with customers in new ways by leveraging behavioral insights to micro-target potential customers, track performance, and acquire new customers while improving customer loyalty and social amplification. Dosh enables merchants to deliver the right offer to the right customer with the right insights.

Merchants and brands are working harder than ever to break through the noise and attract new consumers, said Ryan Wuerch, founder & executive chairman.

“We’ve built a platform that will dramatically change how merchants and brands acquire customers, build loyalty, and cause their customers to tell others about them,” Wuerch says. “Merchants waste billions of dollars every year on big media advertising like TV commercials, radio spots, print and billboards to attract customers with little to no known ROI. Merchants want to know that every dollar they spend performs, and Dosh delivers those results.
